356 Reasons Why We Exist for Teachers

.

Teachers' personal money is the most common source of money for classroom educational products.  92% of teachers surveyed report spending their own money for school supplies and 85% for instructional materials for their classrooms, according to a survey just released by the National School Supply and Equipment Association. These teachers spent $356 from their own pocket in the 2009-2010 school year.  So why do we exist? To enable parents to help offset some of these costs for their children’s education.

Presented in conjunction with TeacherWeb®, a leading provider of classroom websites, Classroom Fundraiser is available to all teachers, PTAs/ PTOs, and schools. Educators register on www.ClassroomFundraiser.com and receive a special ID. When parents and friends purchase magazine subscriptions using the ID at the website or by phone, the classroom/ school receives 50% of the money spent.

Simple, easy, and effective.

See What a Kid Says About $543

Eighth-grader HGP in Connecticut led his class to raise over $500 profit for his class' community projects... in a class of only twelve children.  He had his fellow students bring home fliers which he easily made on our site.  Way to go!

As he writes, "Thank you for your help, Mr. K.  You took the time to explain it and that personal touch was invaluable... to make our goals.  Needless to say, I am very pleased with the results... This is a WINNER!"

It's quite something how a youngster can grab a program and run with it.  With encouragement from teachers, he took it upon himself to get fellow students involved and make it happen.  And all this in less than 1 week!

Available to schools, classrooms teachers, and NPOs.
